Politics and religion topics can become very heated so people tend to avoid talking about them, this may be one reason why religious antiques are not known to be one kind of antique that will grow in value very fast. Another reason is they are are not as likely to be discarded like other collectables and antiques so there is a large supply of them. They might not be your best choice to buy at a garage sale in hopes of prophet for resale even if they are in better shape then say a kids old lunch box with superman on it. Read more about religious antiques here. One of the reasons that a certain item becomes a good collectable investment is how many good memories it brings to peoples mind. An old bowl might remind you of good times with grandma making cookies and getting to lick the bowl. Base ball cards might remind you of games played with friends or playing catch with Dad in the back yard, Playing on a high school football team, or just following your favorite star players or teams might bring back some strong happy memories too, of talking guy stuff with the guys. Collecting things associated with your "younger happier days" ( the good old days ) is a good bet that others will feel the same things and be willing to pay you a little better for bringing that memory back to them. |
